Rescue Pad Spineboard

The new Rescue Pad spineboard offers the ultimate in first-responder ergonomics and is engineered for patient comfort and safety. Even without injuries, patients strapped to un-padded or poorly padded spineboard can suffer excruciating pain and injury when their shoulder blades, hipbones and other bony prominences lose circulation, sometimes in just 10 minutes. The RescuePad spineboard’s unique integrated padding reduces pressure sores and improves comfort for the immobilized patient.

The Rescue Pad is constructed with a seamless design to prevent fluid from entering and eliminates cross-contamination. The integrated padding is nonabsorbent, contoured, has beveled edges, screen-printed, adhesive backed, and can be removed for sanitizing and reapplied.

The design features also include the patented Double Concave cross-section for extreme rigidity. This concave patient surface adds comfort, support and minimizes lateral movement. A continuous Concave bottom allows for clear X-rays. 14 extra large, raised, ergonomic handholds will fit gloved hands.

The optional integrated IV pole has four attachment points to the board. The entire assembly stores in a bag under the handholds. The pole is constructed with hollow aluminum tubes with an internal elastic shock cord. A flange hook securely attaches the bag and a elastic velcro strap compresses the IV bag and prevents swinging. The stainless steel base quickly connects and disconnects from the Rescue Pad.

All spineboards are compatible with all head immobilization devices on the market.
